The
Bicentenary of Charles Darwin's birth, 12th February 1809,
and the 150th anniversary of the publication of 'On the Origin
of Species', 24th November 1859, ensured that 2009 was a year
when the Science and Religion debate had a high profile. As
we enter 2011 teachers of both Religious Education and Science
should continue to encourage open minded and informed debate
on the important issues involved. |
The
Science and Religion in Schools project
provides the necessary background information and suggested
teaching approaches to enable teachers to tackle this debate
with confidence.
Materials
for both Primary and Secondary schools are available to
cover the whole age range from 7 to 19.
For
more information on the materials, for reviews and for sample
materials proceed to the main sections
of the website. |
